Manshuk Mametova is the name of a famous heroine of the Second World War and the peak is located at 3600 meters above sea level.

Many tourists and mountain experts pass this lake around the Ile-Alatau National Park and it is one of the most beautiful routes around the city. The lake is also surrounded by many mountain peaks including the Pioneer peak (4031), Teacher (4045) and Manshuk Mametova (4194m).

We will start the trek from Shymbulak passing through the Alpingrad pass and then through an observatory of 3100 meters above sea level, here we will continue to the left through a road that takes us to the lake.

The level of the trek is medium, the first part is easy, the second a bit difficult with 30-48% climb% in the last 2 km. The trek can also be done in 2 days, the first to base camp continuing to explore the glaciers around and the second day to the lake.

Total trekking hours can be around 4 for experienced hikers to 6 for people with normal training.

Program:

09.30 - Pickup from your hotel and arrival up to Medeo

10.00 - When the cable car opens we will go up to Shymbulak and start the trek

12.00 / 13.00 - Lunch with fruit, cold pasta sandwiches, 1 bottle of water included

17.00 - end of the trek, we will return to Medeo and drive back to the hotel (the funicular closes at 17.00 pm)
