Day 1 / Big Almaty Lake

The Big Almaty Lake is at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, before you arrive there, you can admire the natural beauty of the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains and the amazing area around.
From the main road all start to change compared with the city, the road climbs higher and higher, more and more huge mossy stones appear on the slopes. According to scientists, more than 2,000 years ago there was a strong earthquake in these places, literally moving mountains. As a result of this natural cataclysm a natural dam was formed and a giant bowl deep of 38 meters was formed creating the lake. Even on hot summer days water temperature in the lake is not more than 12 degrees. The color of the water changes depending on the season, the weather, and the temperature of the water.

Tour program:
- 9.00 am Pick up from the hotel
- 9,30 am Going to BAO ( around 30min - 1,30 min, depend by road and traffic in the city )
- 10.30 Walking tour on the Big Almaty Lake
- 12.00 Free time ( guest should bring their own food, there is no restaurant on the top of the lake )
- 15.00 Coming back to the city
- 16.00 Arrive to the city, drop off in the hotel

- 14.00 Come back to BAO
- 16.00 Leaving the Big Almaty Lake
- 17.00 Arrive to the city, drop off in the hotel

Booking Terms: 50% of the payment at the booking and 50% one month before departure. Payment up to 5 instalments available with an extra instalment of 5%. Accepted methods of payment: cash in local currency, usd or euro, bank transfer, payment by bank card from our website.

Cancellation Terms: 80% of the tour price is not refundable in case of tour cancellation less than 14 days before tour departure date. Tour price is not refundable in case of tour cancellation 24 hours or less before tour departure time, as well as in case of no-show.
